BEIJING, April 17--The Second China game Developers Conference (CGDC) (Official website: http://www.chinagdc.com.cn ), which has received support from several of the relevant state authorities of the game industry, has officially started its audience registration. This conference has been carefully planned and advised by its strong Advisory Body, which is composed of 37 technology elites from 33 world-renowned game companies.
Preparation for this international event in the game industry has been under way for over half a year. Top-notch game developers and technology experts from China and abroad have worked hard to decide on a set of topics for the conference that will be truly in line with the structure and technology status quo of the game industry in China. After careful selection and rearrangement by the Advisory Body of the nearly 600 technological difficulties that were solicited from game researchers and developers, the Organizing Committee finally decided on 47 topics for this year's conference, ranging over the eight areas of game design, art design, programming, sound effects, safety, testing, operation and management, which cover all the typical and urgent issues or problems in China's game development. The Organization Committee, accordingly, puts the passes into various categories, with the help of which the audience may not only immediately identify and concentrate their attention on those courses most relevant to their areas, but also easily gain a comprehensive picture of the up-to-date technology in other sectors of game development. More than a dozen core technology experts from renowned game companies, including Microsoft and NC Soft of Korea, have already confirmed their attendance at the conference as speakers. Participants to this year's conference will be able to, together with first-class game producers and technology experts from China and overseas, have face-to-face communication with them and share their secret of success. To make the lecturing and communication more effective and efficient, the Organizing Committee has decided that there will be 3 to 4 concurrent sessions (i.e. 3-4 meeting rooms) for the same time slot and 200 to 300 seats for each meeting room. In other words, a maximum of 1000 audience will be received every day. On account of this, the Organization Committee would like to start the audience registration and subscription for pass earlier. For the restraint of space in the Shanghai International Convention Center, professionals from China and abroad are advised to make a timely decision on the type of pass subscription, so as to ensure their seat in the courses they desire. As for pass sales at the venue of the conference, it will be up to the number of seats left after the pass subscription. If the number of subscriptions exceeds that of the seats in the meeting rooms, there will be no such on-spot sale. Advisory Body of the Second CGDC:
